Allison Shapira Coordinator, Wexner Israel Fellowship Program
Allison is the Coordinator for the Wexner Israel Fellowship Program within the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Previously, Allison spent five years with the Consulate General of Israel to New England as the Director of Public Diplomacy and Acting Consul. In this capacity, she lectured extensively on a variety of issues related to communication and the Middle East, in addition to writing speeches and articles for the Consulate’s diplomats. She also orchestrated a variety of programs to increase awareness and understanding of Israel in New England.
Allison holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. She also graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a BA in Italian Language and Literature and a minor in Opera Performance. She is fluent in Italian and Hebrew, is active in the local leadership of Toastmasters International, and has performed the national anthem for the Boston Red Sox.
