FAQ’s for Wexner Israel Fellowship Program Candidates

When should I submit my Eligibility Form?

Candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their Eligibility Form as early as possible. This is important in order to receive updates and notifications regarding the application process.

Once your Eligibility Form has been approved, it is recommended to immediately register for the TOEFL/GRE, as relevant.

Can I submit the Eligibility Form without an actual TOEFL/GRE score?

Yes, you can.

I'm not sure whether or not I should take the TOEFL or GRE test. Whom should I ask?

Please contact the HKS admission's office directly by email with your question, and add the WIFP email address (wifp@wexner.net) in the CC section.

I'm a civil servant and I'm not sure if I have the 5 years experience required by the Civil Service. Where and how do I find that out?

Please be in direct contact with the human resource department in your office regarding this question.

Can I re-apply for the Fellowship Program?

Candidates from previous years may re-apply for the Fellowship Program, provided they meed in full the eligibility requirements for the year in which they are re-applying.

If you are re-applying, please add a one-page letter stating the reason(s) that have led you to re-apply for the Program, indicating the differences in your application from the previous year.

The letter should be send to wifp@wexner.net, on the same date that you submit your Eligibility Form.

If I choose to re-apply to the program, can I use my former Eligibility and/or Application Forms?

Candidates who re-apply will need to fill out the forms once again, though they may base their answers on the material they have already submitted to the Foundation.

Can members of the same family apply for the program?

Members of the same family can apply for the program, but the Fellowship will be awarded to only one family member per current academic year.

Does IDF military service count for the 7 years of experience required by the Foundation?

Only when referring to a professional military career. Mandatory service, including additional service as an officer (קבע ראשון לקצינים ו/או נגדים), will not be considered as experience in the public sector.
