I wanted to let the Wexner Network know about a fortuitous overlap of events. For those planning to attend the General Assembly this year in Washington, D.C., taking place November 9 – 11, you will be in town during National Education Week. I am involved in National Education Week through some pro bono work I do trying to close the achievement gap,  and know many in the Wexner Network also have education at the forefront of their Jewish agendas. National Education Week is the only event that brings together leaders in education, government, and business to impact the future of public and private education. This year, more than 4,000 participants will be gathering in D.C. for this innovative week-long gathering. I have always believed the Jewish community could learn a lot from different religious organizations, as well as from the business sector. Here is another example where Jewish leaders interested in education might benefit from exposure to people dedicated to parallel work. I will be at both the GA and National Education Week, and thought maybe you’d like to take advantage of the confluence as well. Contact me or click here to learn more.
