Even in times of change and uncertainty there is always room for gratitude.  Last week more than 100 Wexner alumni came together for a video call of healing following the negativity and divisiveness of the 2016 U.S. election.  As we near the end of this difficult year, we look to the coming days where we will join with friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving. As with many Jewish holidays, Thanksgiving provides an opportunity to acknowledge those things for which we are grateful. It may be especially helpful to do so this year.

Gratitude is a Jewish value at the heart of our work at The Wexner Foundation. The Hebrew words for “Jew” (Yehudi) and “Thanks” (Todah) are formed from the same root meaning. We are the people that thanks. We at the Foundation have created a culture of gratitude which we hope influences the leaders we train. We are thankful for all of you.  We are grateful that you dedicate your time and your resources to strengthen the State of Israel and our Jewish communities.  We are thankful for your determination and dedication to making the world a better place.  We are grateful that you are part of our Wexner family.

Consider creating a “gratitude list” for yourself this Thanksgiving by noting the things for which you give thanks.  Please share items on that list in the comments section below, so we can share in each other’s gratitude.
