Rabbi David Russo is the Director of the Wexner Heritage Program. An alumnus of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship/Davidson Scholars Program (Class 19), he deeply understands the unique impact of a Wexner experience and the capacity of our expansive network. He is a beloved rabbi, educator, innovator, and community builder who has served at Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago for more than a decade.

Rabbi Russo was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, and graduated from Toronto's York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. He completed his rabbinic studies and received a Master's degree in Talmud and Rabbinics at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Rabbi Russo spent a year in Israel on the Nativ program, and again as a rabbinical student through JTS. He has spent his summers working with USY, Camp Ramah, Genesis at Brandeis University, and as a group leader for American Jewish World Service's Volunteer Summer in Uganda. He enjoys Jewish learning, community service, and most sports (basketball, baseball, frisbee, golf, and more).

Rabbi Russo lives in Chicago with his wife Rebecca and their three very energetic kids, Natan, Leor, and Lev.
