Rachel grew up in rural Virginia and began connecting with her Judaism while in college at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Following her passion for tikkun olam and social justice, Rachel spent several years working on political campaigns on the East Coast and in Ohio. In 2015, she helped launch a start-up focused on improving energy efficiency and lowering utility costs for low and middle-income Ohioans, driving the establishment of processes to build a scalable organizational structure. In her free time, Rachel enjoys travel, the arts, and clean cooking. A quick way to her heart is sharing robot or cat memes with her.
