At a time when we march upward from the freedom of Exodus to responsibility of Sinai, Andrew will share the past, present and future of his work developing the Tzedek Box, a tool to support Jews and their allies in creating a more just world. He will engage in conversation with Wexner Service Corps Program Director Rabbi Sharon Barr Skolnik, who has spent this year guiding teens in meaningful Jewish service and acts of chesed during the pandemic. As part of our exploration, we will consider how one might look at the Biblical holiday of Pesach Sheni, outlined in Numbers 9, as a source of renewed inspiration for our civic engagement today.
The pre-reading for the session with WGF/DS Alum Rabbi Matt Berkowitz (Class 6) can be found here. Rabbi Berkowitz’s source sheet is available here.
