At the New Member Institute this week in Utah, Heritage members from Washington DC, Cincinnati, and Dallas were treated to a panel discussion with Rabbi Irving “Yitz” Greenberg, Rabbi Jay Moses, and Dr. Erica Brown. The panel, entitled “Eilu V’Eilu: Jewish Conversations for the 21st Century,” was moderated by new Wexner Associate Program Director, Rabbi Ben Berger. The panelists discussed three defining Issues that the Wexner Heritage Program has grappled with since its founding: one people divided; the complex relationship of American Jews and Israel; and the evolving place of the Shoah in contemporary Jewish consciousness.
